Lyubava is ten years old, and when she first came to Sunday school, she barely spoke. She stayed on the edges, physically present but emotionally distant, quietly watching everything around her as if she might need to run away. Over time, in the safety of a loving and consistent environment, something began to change. Today, Lyubava reads the Bible with interest and prays both in Sunday school and at home with her mother when she feels worried. Bible stories, once just information, have become personal and meaningful; she now believes in God and reflects on her life and choices through the lens of God’s principles. Most beautifully, Lyubava now joyfully participates in children’s worship in front of the church, which was something she had always refused to do before, knowing that she is safe, loved, and confident as she continues to walk with God in His church.
