Shangwe is a ten-year-old boy who faithfully attended Sunday school, yet at home he was known for being disobedient. His parents often complained that despite going to church, his behavior had not changed. Everything shifted after a Sunday school lesson on the story of Jonah, taught by an EGM trained leader, with the simple truth: “I can obey God even when He asks me to do something difficult.” God used that lesson to transform Shangwe’s heart. He began obeying his parents willingly, and the change was so clear that his parents returned to testify about it.
But God’s work did not stop there. Shangwe began gathering children from his neighborhood and teaching them the same lessons he had learned at church. When his teacher later visited, he was astonished to find Shangwe standing in front of more than forty children, confidently sharing God’s Word. Shangwe’s life became a powerful testimony that when God transforms a child’s heart, He can use that child to influence many others for His glory alone.
