Uganda (2025)

Patrica

I remember meeting little Jackie, a quiet and withdrawn four-year-old whose silence hid deep anger and pain. For six months, nothing I tried seemed to help. At that time, I had no formal training in children’s ministry. I simply loved children and believed that was enough. Everything changed when I attended a Leadership Development training with EGM Uganda. There, I realized I needed to do more than teach songs and Bible verses. I needed to reach children’s hearts.

After the training, I repented and began praying intentionally for every child, especially Jackie. I approached her with patience, love, and acceptance. Within two months, the change was undeniable. Jackie began smiling, participating, and making friends. Later, I learned she had survived an attempted child sacrifice. Seeing her joy return was nothing short of a miracle. This experience showed me how God heals deeply wounded hearts when we are equipped to serve children with understanding and love.
